Position Details

Title: Clinical Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor

Department: Pharmacy-Clin & Admin Pharmacy

Location: Albany, Georgia

Employment Type: Full-time, Non-tenure track, Contract (12 months)

Position Summary

The Department of Clinical and Administrative Pharmacy seeks a faculty member to provide leadership in clinical practice, teaching, scholarship, and administration at Albany, Georgia. The role includes didactic and experiential teaching, development and maintenance of a clinical practice site, scholarship, citizenship to the college, and administrative duties as Extended Campus Coordinator.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Pharm.

    D. degree.
  • Current license or the ability to become licensed to practice in Georgia.
  • Fellowship or postdoctoral training with a history of teaching, or at least two years of teaching experience in a college or school of pharmacy.
Additional Requirements
  • Active clinical practice site leadership and maintenance.
  • Participation in scholarship and citizenship activities for the college.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Well-established teaching record, demonstrated excellence in teaching, and evidence of scholarship.
  • Evidence of academic administration.
  • Ability to develop and maintain clinical practice and scholarship in rural health, population health, ambulatory care, internal medicine, family medicine, infectious disease, cardiology, or community practice.
  • Strong communication skills and potential for excellence in teaching.
Responsibilities
  • Teach and coordinate courses throughout the P1 to P4 curriculum (60% of time).
  • Develop and maintain a nationally recognized program of scholarship (20% of time).
  • Provide involvement and leadership on departmental, college, and university committees, health systems, and professional organizations (10% of time).
  • Serve as local contact for P3 academic and student affairs, collaborate with college-level units, and communicate campus issues (10% of time).
