Extension Educator, Agriculture & Natural Resources – Fulton County
LocationOSU Extension – Fulton (1521)

Schedule40 hours per week. First shift.
Responsibilities- Provide guidance and leadership in developing and conducting proactive applied research and education programs in agriculture and natural resources to meet current and future needs in farm management, livestock and crop production, home horticulture, commercial horticulture, farmland use issues, food security, innovative agricultural business opportunities, environmental quality and sustainability, renewable energy, and bio‑based products.
- Plan, teach, deliver, disseminate, and evaluate educational programs and applied research on relevant local issues.
- Develop proactive educational programs using innovative educational methods.
- Maintain visibility and facilitate communication with diverse clientele to promote understanding of agriculture and natural resource issues.
- Maintain an individual professional improvement program in selected subject areas.
- Ensure diversity and equal access to programs and facilities for learners.
- Work with local advisory committees, commodity groups, and volunteers to conduct needs assessments and set educational program priorities.
- Serve as educational advisor and liaison for Ohio State University Extension and the university with public issue‑ and program‑related organizations.
- Represent OSU Extension and the university with federal, state, and local agencies and educational institutions within the local community.
- Identify, recruit, and develop volunteer leadership for educational program implementation.
- Participate in shared stewardship responsibilities that assist with county administrative duties.
- Extension Educator1 requires a Bachelor's Degree. Salary range: $42,100 – $55,000.
- Extension Educator2 requires a Master's Degree. Salary range: $47,700 – $62,300.
- Extension Educator3 requires a Master's Degree and 11+years of related work experience. Salary range: $55,700 – $72,700.
Final candidates must successfully complete a background check. A drug screen or physical exam may be required during the post‑offer process.
