• Design, configure, and operate complete building control systems to meet project requirements under general direction.
• Accountable to field teams for the quality, timeliness, and efficiency of designs.
• Develop complex software programs, databases, graphics, commissioning, and troubleshooting for proper system operation.
• Provide detailed information and submittals to communicate design and operation to customers, consultants, Johnson Controls field installation team, and subcontractors.
• Design and configure technically complex building control systems as defined by contract documents.
• Create flow diagrams, sequence of operations, bill of materials, network layouts, and electrical schematics.
• Develop and test software programs, databases, and graphics necessary to operate the system per project intent.
• Coordinate and create necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
• Select, order, and track delivery of materials for assigned projects.
• Coordinate factory-mounting processes to meet factory and project schedules.
• Assist in loading and commissioning all system and network-level controllers as required.
• Assist in validation of complete system functionality and troubleshoot problems with subcontractors and other trades.
• Provide field change information to the project team for as-built drawings and software.
• Keep management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues.
• Assist in performing site-specific training for the owner/operator on the total building control system.
• Participate in release meetings with the project field team.
• Perform value engineering to provide cost-effective results while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• May provide work direction and mentorship to systems technicians while onsite performing commissioning activities.
• Work with management to develop milestones, track progress, complete time sheets in JCI EPIC software, and participate in team meetings.
• Proactively adhere to company safety standards and maintain a high regard for employee and subcontractor safety.
• Coordinate with external resources to perform engineering duties as needed to maintain project schedules set by management.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or minimum 3 years’ experience (see below).
• Demonstrated knowledge of the construction or HVAC industry.
• Demonstrated knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems, and other building subsystems.
• Demonstrated experience in the integration of low voltage building sub-systems using industry protocols (i.e., LON, Bac Net, etc.).
• Ability to relate technical knowledge to a non-technical audience.
• Demonstrated advanced computer skills, particularly in drafting tools.

• Experience with low voltage building sub-systems and industry protocols.
• Computer drafting skills and related software.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $28.37-$38.94 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
