Job SummaryBATTELLE’s National Security Logistics and Operations Division is seeking a Logistician III for full‑time work supporting Marine Corps Logistics Command. The staff member will support life‑cycle management and sustainment functions of Class II and other military equipment for our government client. The successful candidate will support equipment sustainment, supply and inventory management initiatives within the client operations utilizing various Service level logistics information systems.
The position will include gaining an understanding of the workflows, procedures and priorities specific to the government operations and then implementing process improvements and data reporting tools. Candidate will identify and implement continuous improvement activities for various client‑prioritized sustainment and logistics projects and train and monitor staff in the execution.
- Provide leadership and direction to the Site Team.
- Foster and cultivate a culture of continuous process improvement; implement initiatives and process improvements.
- Develop, recommend, and implement continuous improvement actions for the government sustainment, supply and inventory procedures through auditing and subject matter expertise in government supply operations.
- Coordinate with operating forces, depots, vendors, and external agencies.
- Support audit readiness, asset accountability, purchasing and material tracking.
- Participate in fielding conferences, logistics reviews, and sustainment planning efforts.
- Oversee the implementation of data capture and reporting initiatives.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior level staff and subcontractors on the use of logistics information systems, sustainment processes and reporting.
- Provide technical recommendations to government clients and serve as an action officer for special initiatives within the program.
- Attend weekly meetings with senior government staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or 10 years military supply or logistics experience.
- Active Secret clearance required, or the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance.
- Knowledgeable and Experienced with Marine Corps Supply processes and procedures.
- Knowledge/Experience with Defense Information Systems.
- Proficiency with GCSS‑MC, ELMS, CATALYST, FLIS and related logistics systems.
- Knowledge/Experience with warehouse operations and government logistics.
- Knowledge/Experience with Microsoft applications.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and maintain effective working relationships with senior government staff.
- Prior Logistics Officer, Warrant Officer, or Senior SNCO or GS‑11 or above.
