Duties
* You will demonstrate extensive experience regarding the Marine Corps planning process (or any Service/Joint planning process) by developing detailed plans, objectives, and evaluation criteria for making decisions on how to proceed in planning.
* You will direct the LOGCOM related missions and functions, goals and objectives, programs/initiatives, management principles and policies, operational processes, resources and relationships with key customers, suppliers and support providers.
* You will analyze, evaluate, review, draft, coordinate, staff, publish and maintain proposed and existing logistics doctrine and policy documents pertaining to logistics programs, processes and procedures.
* You will serve as the SME planner, analyst, and program advisor to management; assess and execute program cost analysis, conduct fiscal / program planning, commercial issues.
* You will oversee the planning, organizing, coordinating, and leading teams with members from different organizations and commands.
* You will negotiate effectively with high level officials to accept and implement recommendations.
* You will develop and present oral and/or written reports, papers and briefings as necessary to senior level representatives that support mission requirements.
* You will develop, implement, and monitor strategic-level initiatives to include policy, procedural, budgetary, risk management, and systematic guidance that enhances logistics sustainment.
* You will be managing a dynamic workforce; including hiring practices, bargaining agreements, EEO regulations, counseling, and rating processes and systems. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
* Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or SECRET final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
* Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR
* You may be required to work overtime.
* Temporary appointments may be extended up to 3 years at the discretion of management and in accordance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Oversee the logistics planning, scheduling, and executing of projects concerned with the analysis and evaluation of programs and initiatives; analyze interrelated issues of effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of mission-oriented programs; evaluate new or established directives, instructions, or regulations for potential impact on assigned programs; and prepare documents to communicate the results of new or current processes to identify potential problems and recommend solutions to diverse audiences.
