Job Overview

The Supply Systems Analyst serves as the Warehouse Management System (WMS) functional expert supporting warehouse and distribution operations at DLA Distribution Albany (DDAG). This position is responsible for analyzing supply transactions, researching system issues, evaluating operational trends, and providing technical and functional support to improve warehouse operations, inventory management, and supply chain performance. The Supply Systems Analyst serves as the contractor's primary WMS point of contact for Government representatives and internal operations personnel.

The position provides system analysis, transaction research, workload monitoring, data analysis, process improvement recommendations, and technical guidance to ensure efficient warehouse operations while maintaining compliance with Government regulations, contractual requirements, and established supply management policies. This position supports continuous operational improvement through analysis of Warehouse Management System (WMS) data, Government information systems, inventory processes, material accountability, and warehouse performance metrics.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the contractor's primary Warehouse Management System (WMS) point of contact for Government representatives regarding system functionality, transactions, reporting, and operational issues.
  • Analyze WMS transactions, operational data, and system activity to identify trends, deficiencies, process improvements, and potential operational risks.
  • Research supply system issues and coordinate with Government personnel and functional users to resolve operational, procedural, and system-related problems.
  • Perform WMS transaction inquiries, data validation, troubleshooting, and system research to support warehouse operations and inventory accountability.
  • Evaluate proposed system changes, policy updates, and regulatory modifications to determine operational impacts and recommend implementation strategies.
  • Analyze workload trends and proactively identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, and material flow.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of supply management policies, warehouse operations, inventory control procedures, and Government supply systems.
  • Support receiving, storage, warehousing, issue, packing, shipping, transportation, and material accountability processes through system analysis and reporting.
  • Develop reports, performance metrics, data analyses, and recommendations to support operational decision‑making and contract performance.
  • Coordinate with warehouse leadership to improve operational processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and enhance system performance.
  • Support implementation of continuous process improvement initiatives through data‑driven analysis and performance monitoring.
