The Shop Porter is responsible for maintaining the look and safety of the shops and grounds around the buildings. This person will also assist the Shop Manager with running errands and setting up for meetings and events.

• Keep shop area and grounds around buildings clean and safe by sweeping, cleaning and moving discarded materials throughout the day.
• Use Sweeper machine and broom to clean floors
• Use Forklift to move materials
• Empty waste containers as they fill up

• Adherence to all Yancey Bros. Co. Safety procedures and standards
• Set up/tear down chairs/tables for meetings and events
• Run errands as requested by Management team
• Other jobs as requested by Management

To be successful in this position you should be self‑driven, detail‑oriented and show initiative. This person is someone that is finding things to do rather than always being told what to do.

• High school or equivalent

• Be able to safely use a forklift following all safety protocols
• Lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
• Have a clean driving record
• Be self‑driven and take pride in your work
