Facilities Management Director
The Dougherty County Facilities Management Department is hiring for a Facilities Management Director. The purpose of this position is to direct the renovations, repairs, upgrades, life cycle analysis, cleaning and sanitizing of all County facilities, and the services of the County Mailroom. This class works under administrative supervision, developing and implementing programs within organizational policies and reports major activities to executive level administrators through conferences and reports.
Essential tasks include supervising and evaluating assigned staff, coordinating work and establishing schedules, formulating departmental policies and procedures, designing the departmental budget, providing policy guidance, initiating quality and safety standards, planning facilities audits, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, directing installation of communications equipment, managing energy programs, delegating responsibility in various services, supervising written and graphic presentations, directing resource allocation, and performing related work as assigned.
Minimum qualifications require a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Business Management, Maintenance/Construction, or any closely related field, and eight (8) years of construction or facilities management or related field of which two (2) are in a management or supervisory position or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
