General Labor / Production Associate About MarglenMarglen Industries is a leader in PET recycling and sustainable plastics, specializing in processing post-consumer PET bottles into clean, sustainable fiber and resin. The company manufactures polyester staple fiber and food-grade PET resin, serving industries from beverage bottles to automotive and home furnishings. Founded in 1971, Marglen has evolved from carpet manufacturing to a global supplier of recycled PET materials, focusing on environmentally friendly, innovative recycling technologies.
The RoleWe're hiring General Labor / Production Associates to support our manufacturing operations. This is hands-on production work in a fast-paced plant environment. You'll help keep our lines running, our product moving, and our work areas clean and safe.
No manufacturing experience is required. If you show up, work hard, follow the process, and look out for your teammates, we'll train you on the rest — and for people who show the right aptitude, there are real paths into skilled operator roles as our lines expand.
What You'll Do- Support production operations across the plant, including material handling, packaging, and finishing work
- Keep a close eye on the process — watch equipment and product, and flag anything that doesn't look right
- Keep work areas clean and organized throughout your shift (housekeeping is part of quality here, not an afterthought)
- Move and stage finished product safely, including using powered industrial equipment once trained
- Follow startup, operating, and shutdown steps in the correct order — no shortcuts
- Communicate clearly with your team and your supervisor, and speak up early when something's off
- Complete production paperwork and hand off cleanly to the next shift
You don't need to have done this exact work before. You do need to be someone who:
- Shows up and is reliable — attendance and shift discipline matter on a production line
- Stays alert during routine work — the best people on our lines catch small problems before they become big ones
- Follows procedures carefully — does steps in order and doesn't improvise around safety
- Keeps a clean, orderly work area
- Is comfortable in an industrial environment — heat, steam, moving equipment, and noise are part of the job
- Communicates and escalates — raises a hand when something isn't right instead of hoping it works out
- Works well on a team and is willing to learn
Nice to have (not required): prior manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience; forklift/PIT experience; mechanical aptitude; experience in a role where quality and consistency were measured.
Physical Requirements- Able to stand and walk for the majority of a shift
- Able to lift items regularly and occasionally
- Able to work in an environment with heat, humidity, and steam
- Able to bend, reach, and climb as needed
- Able to work the assigned shift, including overtime as needed
- Full-time, hourly
- Pay: $13.39 – $17.05 / hour
Marglen offers a full benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and additional coverages.
Marglen Industries is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
