• Unit: Cardiac Stepdown / PCU (44 beds; includes 8 semi-private rooms)
• Patient Ratio: 1:5 (typical cardiac telemetry/stepdown ratio)
• Charting / EMR: Meditech
• Orientation: 3 floor-specific shifts
• Dress Code: Caribbean Blue scrubs; natural hair color; no fake nails, facial piercings, or visible tattoos
• Setting: High-acuity cardiac telemetry / stepdown unit — ideal for RNs experienced with cardiac drips and telemetry monitoring

• Experience: Minimum 2 years recent PCU/Stepdown RN experience in a large hospital or acute care setting
• Travel Experience: At least 1 successful prior travel nursing assignment required (no first-time travelers)
• License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required to submit)
• Certifications: BLS (AHA) and ACLS required; NIHSS preferred
• Telemetry Skills: Must be able to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips (telemetry RN skills)
• Floating: May float to ICU; will only accept stepdown-level patients unless ICU experience is documented
• Distance Requirement: Must live at least 75 miles from Albany, GA 31701 (per driver’s license address)
• Attendance: Strong attendance and flexibility required, including holidays as needed

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown/PCU patients in a fast-paced, high-turnover environment (cardiac telemetry RN responsibilities)
• Monitor and interpret telemetry (Phillips) and cardiac rhythm strips accurately
• Manage cardiac drips and vasoactive medications (e.g., Cardizem, amiodarone, dobutamine, dopamine, lasix, bumex, heparin, primacor, vaprosol)
• Care for patients requiring BiPAP/CPAP, vapotherm, and high-flow oxygen — no full ventilator management required
• Support post-op and procedural cardiovascular patients (CABG, EVAR/AAA repairs, stents, pacemakers, ablations, AICD, CHF, afib with RVR, chest tubes)
• Coordinate frequent admissions, discharges, and transfers (average census 32–38; 12–16 admits/discharges on busy days)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: RT, pharmacy, PICC/IV team, hospitalist/intensivist (all in-house 24/7)
• Document accurately and efficiently in Meditech EMR
• Float or task in ICU as needed per policy and patient care demands
• Preferred: Ability to pull pacer wires (orientation provided if needed)
