Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) Role Summary

We are seeking adaptable, compassionate, and clinically confident Med-Surg Registered Nurses for both day and night shift positions. In this role, you will utilize the nursing process to manage a diverse patient caseload, incorporating advanced respiratory support and telemetry monitoring. Operating within a collaborative interdisciplinary framework supported by 24/7 Respiratory Therapy and Pharmacy, you will serve as a strong advocate for patient health, safety, and dignity.

• Acute Patient Care: Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse medical-surgical patient population utilizing the nursing process.
• Clinical Monitoring: Manage telemetry-monitored patients and recognize acute clinical changes, taking prompt, definitive action.
• Advanced Respiratory Support: Oversee and manage patients utilizing non-invasive ventilation equipment, including BiPAP, CPAP, Vapotherm, and Draeger systems.

  Work seamlessly alongside CNAs, 24/7 Respiratory Therapists, and a 24/7 Pharmacy team to ensure comprehensive continuity of care.
• Flexible Care Delivery: Demonstrate clinical adaptability by effectively managing changing patient assignments and floating across specialized units (Ortho/Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, and specialized medical floors) as needed.
• Documentation & Safety: Perform accurate computer-based charting within the Meditech EMR system, ensuring strict compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia (or compact state licensure).
• Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support).
• Current ASLS (Advanced Stroke Life Support) OR NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification.
• Attributes: High flexibility with changing assignments during a shift and a strong commitment to team-based care.

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred (qualifies for an added wage differential).
• Experience: Prior acute care or medical-surgical experience within a fast-paced hospital setting.

  Familiarity with the Meditech EMR platform and advanced IV therapies (such as PICC line management).

• Location: Albany, GA
• Shifts available: 12-Hour Days or 12-Hour Nights (Shifts begin at 0645)
• Ratios: Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6 (Supported by CNAs generally at a 1:8 to 1:10 ratio).
• Requirements: Every other weekend required; standard holiday rotation alongside permanent staff; low-census on-call requirements.

• Base Salary Range: $32.45 – $40.90/HR (Actual pay precisely aligned with years of experience).
• Shift & Role Differentials:
  • Night Shift Premium: +$5.00/hr
  • Charge Nurse Premium: +$2.00/hr
  • Preceptor Premium: +$2.00/hr
  • BSN Premium: +$1.00/hr
