Description - External

Provides professional nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards and practices. Duties include assessment of patients, developing plan of care, implementing the plan of care and evaluating the plan of care. Position requires a high quality of care in order to meet the Hospital's core mission.

• Provides professional nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards and practices.
• Performs assessment of patients and develops, implements, and evaluates the plan of care.
• Maintains high quality of care to meet the Hospital's core mission.
• Adheres to hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines.
• Performs duties in alignment with the organizations core values, mission and vision.
• Attends staff meetings, completes mandatory in-services and competency evaluations on time.
• Maintains current knowledge in area of responsibility and participates in ongoing education.
• Demonstrates competency in providing care to patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs; for non-clinical areas, demonstrates age-specific customer service skills.
• Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.

Education Requirements

• 2 year / Associate Degree in Nursing from a state-accredited school (Required).
• 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from a state-accredited School of Professional Nursing (Preferred).

Experience Requirements

• 1 - 2 years Nursing Experience (Preferred).

Certifications and Licensures

• Registered Nurse (RN) with current Georgia license.
• Oncology/Chemotherapy Provider Certification or within six months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
