Nurse Manager - Observation Unit

Job Summary

Direct and supervise functions and activities in the unit; interpret and implement policies, procedures, standards, and regulations to personnel, patients, medical staff, and the public. Perform duties in any nursing capacity as needed.

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Required)

3 or more years of experience in an Acute Healthcare Setting in the area of specialty with proven management skills (Required)

• Registered Nurse (RN) with current Georgia license (Required)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Required)

• Direct the coordination of care across setting and among caregivers.
• Engage in teamwork as a team player and a team builder.
• Serve in key roles at work through shared decision making.
• Define a clear vision including goals and plans and measures progress.
• Promote nursing through participation in professional organizations.
• Use the results of quality improvement activities in nursing practice.
• Use creativity and innovation in nursing practice to improve care delivery.
• Incorporate evidence-based knowledge to initiate change in nursing practice.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
• Document and submit required information and data in a timely fashion.
• Clearly and accurately document designated processes, policies, products, and service offerings, etc.
• Ensure that documentation is tailored to expected readers / users.
• Use correct terminology.
• Conforms to required style and format.
