Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) works under the supervision of a Professional Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, and/or Physician to provide age‑appropriate, culturally and ethnically sensitive care, maintain a safe environment, collect information, communicate effectively, and utilize technology. The CNA provides personal care to selected patients, assists with activities of daily living, offers comfort measures and nourishment, and performs therapies as delegated by a licensed professional.

The role also includes patient advocacy and participation in performance improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Provide age‑appropriate, culturally and ethnically sensitive care.
  • Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Collect patient information and communicate effectively with the care team.
  • Utilize technology for patient documentation and care coordination.
  • Provide personal care to selected patients.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living.
  • Offer comfort measures and nourishment.
  • Perform therapies as delegated by licensed professionals.
  • Advocate for patients and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • CNA certification in the State of Georgia required.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
  • Long‑term care experience strongly preferred.
  • Physically able to sit, stand, and walk with moderate effort.
  • Must be willing to lift up to 25 pounds and push or pull up to 75 pounds.
  • Must have good visual, hearing, and speaking acuity.
  • Work environment may involve exposure to electrical shock, fumes, airborne particles, and infectious diseases.
