American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an Emergency Center position requiring 5+ years of ED experience, MEDITECH proficiency, and a valid GA or compact RN license.
Details- Evening shift position, 12-hour shifts from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM
- 17-week contract
- Acute care Emergency Center with approximately 180–200 patient visits per day
- Patient population spans pediatrics to geriatrics, including trauma, CVA, neuro, and orthopedic cases
- Facility is a CVA center; some trauma and neuro cases are retained while others are transferred; burns are not kept on site
- 6-bed behavioral health lockdown area staffed by psychiatry
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
- Nurses are responsible for their own lab draws and IV starts
- 24/7 respiratory therapy dedicated to the ED; ventilated patients are held in the ED until admission
- Pharmacy is in-department 11 hours per day and on campus 24/7
- Central monitoring tech on staff; nurse aides and paramedics (5–6 per shift) and security/safety sitters available
- Charge nurse present on unit
- EMR: MEDITECH 6.15 (experience required)
- Every other weekend required
- Every other holiday required
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Minimum 5 years of ED experience required
- At least 1 prior travel assignment required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS (or ASLS), and CPI
- MEDITECH EMR experience required
- Driver's license must be provided for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for placement
- Floor-specific orientation consists of 2 shifts, which must be completed during the first week of assignment
- Caribbean Blue scrubs required
- Candidates who have been employed by the facility within the last 12 months are not eligible for placement
- Time off and scheduling requests are honored only if submitted and confirmed at the start of the assignment
