American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a busy Emergency Center position requiring TNCC certification and 5+ years of experience with at least one prior travel assignment.
Details- .Level 12-hour night shifts from 7p-7a in a hospital Emergency Center
- Acute care setting handling approximately 180-200 patient visits per day
- Patient ratio of 1 nurse to 4 patients
- Patient population spans pediatrics to geriatrics, including trauma, neuro, ortho, and CVA cases
- Facility includes a 6-bed behavioral/psych lockdown area staffed by psych
- Unit supported by charge nurse, 5-6 nurse aides/paramedics per shift, and central monitoring tele techs
- 24/7 dedicated respiratory therapist support for ventilated patients held in the ER
- Security and patient sitters available for safety monitoring
- Nurses perform their own lab draws and IV starts
- Uses MEDITECH 6.15 EMR
- Required to work every other weekend and every other holiday
- Caribbean Blue scrubs required
- .Level Active RN license (GA or Compact) currently in hand
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and ASLS or NIHSS
- Minimum 5 years of RN experience required
- At least one prior travel assignment required
- Prior Emergency Department experience in an acute care setting required
- MEDITECH EMR experience required
- Driver's license address must match submission for consideration
- .Level Provide direct nursing care to a high-volume ER population including trauma, neuro, ortho, and CVA patients
- Complete floor-specific orientation consisting of 2 shifts
- ORT must be completed during week one unless otherwise approved by EC leadership prior to start date
- Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for placement
- Not eligible for placement if employed by the facility within the last 12 months
- First-time travelers not considered given the 5+ years and prior travel assignment requirement
