Description:
This position involves working in a stepdown unit with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5. The unit will accommodate 44 beds, including 8 semi-private rooms. Responsibilities include caring for cardiac patients post-surgery and with various cardiovascular conditions. Nurses will manage multiple admissions and discharges per shift during busy days. Familiarity with pacing wires and the ability to assist with pulling them is preferred.
Fast turnover of rooms and an average census of 32-38 patients is expected. The position requires flexibility to work holidays and weekends as needed. Additional responsibilities include working collaboratively with a healthcare team that includes Clientists and Intensivists. All candidates must adhere to a strict dress code policy. Natural hair colors are required, and visible tattoos or facial piercings are not permitted.
Candidates should be comfortable with the fast-paced nature of the environment and be ready to assist with floating to ICU if needed.
