Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Albany, GA

Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM–7:15 PM/PM–AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays As Needed

• Provide direct patient care on a 44-bed Medical Surgical unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5, occasionally 1:6
• Monitor telemetry patients in coordination with a separate telemetry monitoring unit
• Float as needed to acute care, cardiology (for medical patients), and the EC for acute care patient holds
• Collaborate with CNA support staff and utilize nurse aides, including sitter assignments as needed
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Participate in a one-week general orientation (including EMR training) and two days of floor-specific orientation

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• At least 1 prior travel assignment
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• NIHSS certification (American Heart Association)

• Experience with Meditech EMR
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in an acute care setting

• Work in a well-supported unit with CNA staffing assistance and a structured orientation program
• Located in a mid-sized city with convenient proximity to major destinations in the Southeast
