Summary:

Provides professional nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards and practices. Duties include assessment of patients, developing plan of care, implementing the plan of care and evaluating plan of care. Position requires a high quality of care in order to meet the Hospital's core mission.

Qualifications2 year / Associate Degree in from a state accredited School of Professional Nursing (Required)4 year / Bachelor's Degree in from a state accredited School of Professional Nursing (Preferred)
Work Experience1 - 2 years Nursing Experience (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications Required Certifications/Licensures:

Registered Nurse (RN) with current Georgia license, ONS Chemo Provider Certification or within six months of hire, and Basic Life Support (BLS)
Essential Functions ASSESSMENT AND DIAGNOSIS:

Collects data in a systematic and ongoing process

Issues are identified and diagnoses are developed based on assessment data.

Prioritizes data collection based on the patient's condition and needs.

Identifies expected outcomes and plan based on diagnoses or issues.

OUTCOMES AND EVALUATIONS:

Develops expected outcomes that provide direction for continuity of care.

Involves patient/family and other disciplines to determine expected outcomes.

Modifies expected outcomes based on changes in the assessment of the patient.

Includes the patient and others involved in the care in the evaluation process.

Evaluates the plan in relation to patient responses and expected outcomes.

Documents the results of the evaluation.

RN - QUALITY:

Uses the results of quality improvement activities in nursing practice.

Uses creativity and innovation in nursing practice to improve care delivery.

Incorporates evidence based knowledge to initiate change in nursing practice.

Participates in quality improvement activities.
