Inside Sales Professional - Driver

Job Purpose

The purpose of the Inside Sales Professional (ISP) is to identify and serve the needs of our customers, assist them in obtaining products or information and provide excellent customer service while filling the many needs of customers.

• Process customer orders received in person (at the sales counter) or by phone, fax, and E‑Commerce to include company transfers and delivery requests.
• Locate parts, equipment, and supplies for our customers from various sources.
• Support long‑term business relationships with customers to promote sales growth and gain acceptance.
• Assist in warehouse duties, including pulling customer orders and putting away stock while occasionally operating a forklift.
• Promote new and existing products, upgrades, and services to customers.
• Assist customers with technical support and problem solving.
• Identify prospective/future customers through store or phone sales and communicate prospects to sales team (Territory Managers or Account Executives).
• Maintain professional atmosphere of sales facility by restocking and maintaining showroom shelves and product displays.
• Process warranties.
• Process Cycle Counts and assist in maintaining accuracy of physical inventory.
• Make occasional deliveries using site vehicle.
• Participate in after‑hours, on‑call and training classes.
• Work overtime as assigned.
• Work cooperatively with others.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Maintain regular, punctual and reliable attendance.

The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, lay on the floor, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. The employee may work in environments as cold as 20°F or as hot as 105°F.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of customer service and/or sales experience.
• 2 years’ experience in the HVAC industry, preferred.
• Proficiency in computers, including MS Office.
• Forklift experience.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Qualify for and remain insurable under company liability insurance policy.
• Qualify under federal and state regulations to drive the vehicle in question.

5% travel to branches and other operating companies requiring some overnight stay, travel to industry‑related conferences and training requiring some extended stay.
