As an Assistant Equipment Mechanic in the Albany, GA area, you'll be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing various types of equipment to prolong the serviceable life of all equipment. This role requires flexibility to work all shifts, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and on-call emergencies.
The starting hourly pay is dependent upon experience.

- Assist Lead Maintenance Technician in performing various maintenance tasks
- Cleans and maintains tools and equipment
- Prepares rigs for daily use
- Repairs or replaces pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers, belt presses, and other equipment
- Maintains files and records of work orders and task completion
- Cleans the shop area as assigned
- Conducts routine equipment maintenance tests
- Understands and adheres to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required
- Valid Driver's License with an insurable driving record; CDL would be a plus
- Mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn is required
- Experience working in the water or wastewater treatment industry is highly preferred
- Ability to follow manuals and operating instructions, perform routine maintenance/repairs, and operate tools
- Knowledgeable in process control, maintenance procedures, and safety practices; comfortable working around water and raw sewage
- Ability to wear/use Self‑Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA)
- Willing to work all shifts including weekends, holidays, evenings, and 24‑hour emergency on call
- Physically capable of lifting 50–80 lbs, moving equipment, accessing confined spaces, and walking/climbing continuously
