Summary
You will serve as a MAINTENANCE MECHANIC SUPERVISOR I in the Industrial Maintenance Unit, Base Maintenance section, Public Works Branch, Installation and Environment Division of MCLB ALBANY GA.
Duties
Help
- You will supervise team leaders and employees who perform skilled work in operating, monitoring, and maintaining the water, sewage, electrical, and gas distribution systems.
- You will oversee the day-to-day performance of high-voltage electricians, boiler operators, industrial equipment operators, and IWTP operators.
- You will plan the daily use of workers, equipment, facilities, and materials.
- You will assign work to individuals, provide technical direction, and observe work in progress to anticipate and resolve problems.
- You will ensure that all completed work is documented in USMCmax and that equipment information is kept up to date.
- You will train your personnel on documentation processes and periodically verify the accuracy of equipment lists.
- You will inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and work order requirements.
- You will track, report on work progress, and inform your maintenance supervisor of any actual or potential work delays.
- You will support and explain management programs to your subordinates.
- You will advise and counsel workers on improving their performance and recommend performance ratings, training, and disciplinary actions.
- You will investigate and informally resolve grievances and complaints.
- You will ensure that all safety and housekeeping practices are observed.
