- Perform assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems
- Respond to basic warranty calls
- Load system‑level controller software
- Perform more complex commissioning and system diagnostics from system‑level controllers to end devices (sensors, actuators, etc.) and complete all required commissioning documentation
- Keep management, JCI contractors, or customers informed of job progress and issues
- Calibrate systems requiring basic electronic test equipment
- Complete administrative tasks such as time sheets, expense reports, and on‑site documentation
- Document changes and provide information for as‑built documentation
- Communicate with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site
- Follow all safety standards and attend required safety training
- Maintain a high degree of regard for employee and subcontractor safety
- Minimum 2‑year degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or similar field; OR 3‑5 years of industry experience servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry
- Knowledge of HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation, and servicing techniques
- Effective interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls to customers and other contacts in an ethical and professional manner
- Ability to explain technical information to technical and non‑technical people
- Leadership skills to support mechanics working on non‑complex, non‑critical Building Automation equipment on a job site
- PC experience required and ability to program HVAC related software
Hiring Hourly Range
: $24.32–$36.00 (Hourly rate to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
