We’re looking for a skilled HVAC Sheet Metal Installer to join our team and help deliver high‑quality ductwork installations on new construction and renovation projects.
Position Summary:The HVAC Sheet Metal Installer will be responsible for fabricating, installing, and sealing HVAC duct systems to meet code requirements, airflow specifications, and Safe Aire quality standards. This role is hands‑on and requires experience working with sheet metal tools, duct construction methods, and job‑site coordination.
Key Responsibilities:- Ductwork Installation: Install HVAC duct systems, including supply/return ductwork, plenums, transitions, takeoffs, and registers/grilles.
- Fabrication & Assembly: Measure, cut, bend, and assemble sheet metal components using hand tools and shop/job‑site equipment.
- Sealing & Insulation: Properly seal duct connections (mastic/tape) and assist with insulation where required to prevent leakage and improve efficiency.
- Blueprint & Layout Reading: Interpret job layouts, prints, and measurements to ensure correct duct routing and fit.
- Jobsite Coordination: Communicate with HVAC install teams, supervisors, and other trades to keep projects moving efficiently.
- Safety & Clean Workmanship: Maintain a clean work area, follow safety procedures, and ensure installs meet code and company standards.
- 1–3 years of HVAC sheet metal and duct installation experience preferred (more experience welcome).
- Ability to read a tape measure and accurately lay out ductwork.
- Working knowledge of sheet metal tools (snips, brakes, seamers, crimpers, etc.).
- Familiarity with duct construction methods (S‑cleat/drive, Pittsburgh seams, flex connections, etc.) is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work in attics/crawlspaces and on ladders when needed.
