- The HVAC Technician reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is an hourly, non-exempt position.
- Maintain heating and cooling units throughout the center.
- Complete preventative and minor maintenance on all HVAC units.
- Transport students by van or automobile to various vocational sites, medical centers, recreational activities, courts, etc., as needed.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are in good repair and stored properly.
- Adhere to all PRH, PAG, CDSS policies and procedures, and the Center s Operating Procedures.
- Ensure equipment and facilities are clean and maintained in accordance with Center and DOL standards.
- Maintain a work environment of zero accidents and injuries, including no loss-time accidents.
- High School Diploma or GED, and one year of related work experience.
- Technician experience preferred.
- Able to complete all mandated training requirements per government and management directives.
- Valid driver s license with acceptable driving record preferred.
- Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.
Knowledge of maintenance techniques; state commercial driver s license preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with trainees and relate to the trainee population. Ability to operate household appliances. Must interact with team members and maintain an effective working relationship with all facility staff and departments.
