Position SummaryThe Electrician I is responsible for trouble shooting electrical systems, up-grading electrical devices and equipment , as well as general plant facilities modernization.
Educational Requirements- High school diploma or GED required
- Tech school certificate preferred
- Three to five years of manufacturing experience in the electrical craft
- Three to five years work experience with troubleshooting, decommissioning and installation of equipment
- Good communication skills, written and verbal
- Meet license requirements for powered material handling equipment (Lift trucks, JLG's, Scissor Lift)
- Basic computer aptitude
- Essential duties:
- Troubleshoot complex electrical systems with some electronics
- Familiar with electrical systems including, PLC, DC/AC drives, motors, HVAC, and power distributions
- Estimate, procure parts, modify and install electrical equipment
- Maintain housekeeping
- Comply with safety rules including lock out/ tag out procedures.
- Comply with environmental regulations
- Be aware of departmental Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
- Ensure ISO procedures are followed.
- Understand and support Interface commitment to sustainability.
- Perform other duties as assigned
