- Work is primarily performed in a garage, maintenance shop, and outdoor areas.
- Regular exposure to vehicle exhaust, grease, oil, fuel, chemicals, dust, dirt, noise, and other shop-related substances.
- Work may be performed in hot, cold, wet, dusty, or otherwise changing environmental conditions.
- Employees may be required to work around moving vehicles, heavy equipment, machinery, and other workplace hazards.
- Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and working in awkward positions.
- Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull tools, parts, tires, and equipment, including items weighing up to [XX] pounds.
- May require working underneath vehicles and equipment or in confined and elevated areas.
- Appropriate PPE must be worn as required by the task and company safety procedures.
- Work may require extended periods of standing and physical activity.
- Employees must maintain a clean and safe work environment and immediately report unsafe conditions or hazards to management.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, and servicing of company vehicles, trucks, trailers, and equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems and determine appropriate repairs.
- Perform oil changes, brake repairs, tire changes, fluid checks, belt and hose replacement, and other routine maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and repair engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, braking, and other vehicle systems.
- Use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely and properly.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, parts used, and vehicle maintenance.
- Inspect vehicles and equipment to identify safety concerns and mechanical issues before they become major problems.
- Communicate repair needs, safety concerns, and equipment conditions to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe garage and work area.
- Follow all company policies, OSHA requirements, safety procedures, and applicable federal and state regulations.
- Properly use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with emergency and breakdown repairs as needed.
- Complete assigned work in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
