Norcross Yard Associate

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is $28.42. As applicable, this role will also receive overtime compensation.

• Communicate with Dispatcher/Router for truck/trailer and door assignments.
• Keep assigned equipment coupled.
• Move trailers between buildings as directed by Router or Warehouse Supervisor.
• Load, unload, or merge loads between environments.
• Stage shuttle trailers nightly for shuttle drivers.
• Set up trailers for backhaul with tractor and empty pallets.
• Place backhauls in correct door to be unloaded by warehouse.
• Make sure all equipment is paired and ready for next day's deliveries.
• Work with mechanics nightly.
• Must attend all required company meetings.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required.
• Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions.

• Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• Minimum of six months commercial driving experience preferred.
• Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations.
• Must be able to read and communicate in English – able to hold a conversation, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and enter information on reports and records.
