Warehouse Specialist Supervisor (Albany, GA)
The Warehouse Specialist Supervisor receives tasks from the Project/Warehouse Manager. In the performance of these duties, the Contractor shall possess the basic knowledge and skills required to plan, control, manage, and be responsible for the successful completion of the work. The Warehouse Specialist Supervisor serves as the Contractor’s On‑Site supervisor and POC for Government representatives in the absence of the Warehouse Manager.
The Warehouse Specialist Supervisor provides overall supervision for Contractor employees to include, but not limited to, planning and managing the project professionally, allocating resources, managing personnel and monitoring operational performance, taking direction from the Government to ensure customer satisfaction, and ensuring that work is scheduled properly to obtain maximum use of resources.
- Leads daily warehouse material support operations.
- Supervises contractor personnel assigned to the operation.
- Coordinates directly with key, on and off‑site Government and contractor personnel.
- Receives, inspects, verifies, stores, issue, and tracks materiel.
- Ensures accurate inventory accountability and transaction processing.
- Ensures that accurate and timely reports are provided.
- Prevents inefficient or wasteful methods in the performance of the labor‑hour services ordered.
- Ensures cost saving factors and quality controls are used to ensure work is performed as scheduled.
- Spot checks completed work for compliance with the contract on work sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines.
- Maintains operational records, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Ensures work is done properly and efficiently IAW the terms and conditions of the contract.
- Ensures compliance with OSHA, EPA, Army environmental, and safety regulations.
- Supports quality control, inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
- Ensures all subordinate personnel complete required training.
- Maintains awareness of workload fluctuations and adjust operations accordingly.
- Supports inventory reconciliation and operational reporting requirements.
- Ensures proper use of Government systems and logistics databases.
- High School degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience using WMS or equivalent Warehouse Management System (WMS) within the past five (5) years.
- Secret Clearance required.
- Knowledge of hazardous material handling and storage procedures.
- Experience with inventory accountability and warehouse operations.
- Valid driver’s license.
- U.S citizen.
- Ability to obtain and maintain installation access.
