Job Description
Our client, a growing real estate company, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their onsite accounting team. This role supports day‑to‑day accounting operations across multiple real estate entities and offers strong long‑term growth potential. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, motivated, and eager to grow within a hands‑on accounting environment.
Schedule & Work Environment- Fully onsite
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexibility to stay until work is complete)
- Business casual environment
- Onsite parking available
- Salary range: $55,000 – $75,000 (dependent on experience)
Accounting & Accounts Payable
- Review, code, and process vendor invoices and employee expense reports
- Post journal entries and support general ledger activities
- Ensure invoices have proper approvals prior to payment
- Maintain accurate vendor files and payment records
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Perform credit card reconciliations
- Assist with month‑end close and AP reporting
- Track W-9s and certificates of insurance
- Communicate with contractors, vendors, and utility companies
Office & Administrative Support
- Answer phones, direct calls, and greet visitors
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems
- Order and manage office supplies and vendor services
- Assist with internal reporting and documentation for real estate projects
- Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3–5+ years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, or related roles
- Real estate or property management accounting experience preferred
- Experience with Yardi, Sage Intacct, App Folio, or Quick Books is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Office‑based role with regular interaction with vendors, tenants, and property managers
- Exposure to multi‑entity accounting
