Location: City of Albany
New York State Department of Taxation and Finance is seeking an Auditor 1 (Tax) to conduct on-site field audits. The candidate will be responsible for examining taxpayers' records for compliance with tax laws.
A Bachelor’s degree including 24 credits in accounting/auditing/taxation is required. This position requires effective communication skills, knowledge of tax law, and may involve frequent travel. The role also includes advocacy at hearings and participation in audit selection processes.
