Overview
Manager Accountant – Responsible for managing and reviewing complex tax engagements as part of the Tax Team. Candidates must reside in or around Albany, New York.
Responsibilities- Prepare and/or review complex business and individual tax returns.
- Develop effective working relationships with clients to provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance services.
- Identify and research tax issues, develop resolutions, and prepare written conclusions.
- Assist with the development, training, and mentoring of staff and interns.
- Recognize opportunities to provide new and innovative services.
- Show willingness to learn new tax skills required by the diverse client base.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Active CPA certification or EA licensure.
- Minimum of five years of tax experience in a public accounting firm or equivalent experience.
- Ability and willingness to travel.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and aptitude to learn firm technology.
Office hours: 8:00a.m. – 5:00p.m., Monday through Friday.
Summer hours: 8:00a.m. – 5:00p.m., Monday through Thursday;
Flex Friday scheduling available.
