Location: City of Albany
Internal Auditor 1
The Internal Auditor 1 assists the Bureau of Internal Audit within the Office of Audit Services at the New York Office for People with Developmental Disabilities. The position conducts internal audits and reviews of agency programs, tests compliance with laws and regulations, evaluates risks through data analysis, and prepares audit findings and reports. The role includes planning audit assignments, performing fieldwork, documenting findings, and coordinating with agency staff on corrective actions.
KeyQualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, auditing, finance, business administration, computer science, economics, public administration, or related field
- Two years of professional experience in conducting internal audits, financial statement audits, compliance reviews, or program research and appraisal
- Strong organizational and planning abilities with excellent interpersonal and writing skills
- Analytical talents and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
- Ability to work 37.5 hours per week with possible 25% travel requirement
