Responsibilities
- Serve as primary support to Tax Managers on tax-related matters.
- Communicate with clients, as well as client support staff on tax-related matters.
- Prepare income tax returns.
- Prepare income tax projections and assist in tax planning strategies for clients, related entities, and family members.
- Perform detailed income tax research on complex tax issues.
- Draft responses to tax disputes and assist in client audit representation.
- Monitor the resolution of tax disputes with federal, state, and local agencies, as well as other tax compliance issues.
- Assist in estate administration and tax return preparation.
- B.A. / B.S. in Accounting with a strong GPA required.
- CPA preferred.
- 2 + years of experience as a tax accountant.
- Familiarity with GoSystem Tax RS and Quick Books preferred.
- Must be self-motivated and detail-oriented.
