Senior Accountant

Description Seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting detail oriented who enjoys owning the month-end close process, partnering with business leaders, and helping improve financial reporting and accounting processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities Lead and participate in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes. Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Analyze general ledger activity and investigate variances to ensure accuracy. Prepare financial statements and management reports in accordance with GAAP. Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Support annual audits by preparing schedules and coordinating with external auditors. Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements. Assist with cash management, fixed assets, accruals, and intercompany transactions as needed. Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiencies. Partner with operations and department leaders to provide financial support and reporting. Mentor entry level accounting staff and provide guidance on accounting best practices.

Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. Experience managing the full month-end close process. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial analysis. Experience working within an ERP system such as SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, Microsoft Dynamics, Epicor, or similar. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments. CPA designation or progress toward CPA is a plus.
