The Administrative Assistant
-Nurse Manager Support- provides general administrative support, maintains and files reports, and other information. They schedule and coordinate logistical support for meetings. Provide word processing and other document preparation services. They Locate and retrieve information in support of management and technical staff.
** Clerical Tasks:
*** Collaborates with unit staff on scheduling
* Calling and scheduling interview for new RN, PCA and ASA applicants
* Create interview packet fro NM to every scheduled interview
* Schedule 3-3-3 meeting with the new staff on the unit
* Create new employee file/ filing confidential employee information
* Create orientation tools for new employees with all materials and forms they will need for working in the unit
* Print and file staff clearance from Employee Health Services
* Assist with Unit auditing
* Prepare Annual Performance Evaluation for staff to complete
* Log JC compliance checklist weekly
* Update nursing unit webpage
* Preparing files that need to be sent to HR for Archive
* Sending in term paperwork to HR
* Entering new orients schedule on shift wizard with appropriate icons
* Edit, confirm and ensure all Kronos information is entered correctly prior to NM and payroll approval
* Check daily assignment sheet and enter any changes on time, CLT, UT, cost center, and floats in Kronos
** Materials Coordination:
*** Ordering Pharmacy supplies for the unit 2x a week
* Order and maintains unit office supplies
* Ordering and handing out employee recognition
*
* Education:

** Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent (GED), with post-high school training or related work experience.
** Communication

** Able to communicate effectively on a wide range of issues with internal and/or external customers, initiate follow-up actions. Able to work with others to accomplish a task or goal, be flexible in work practices, procedures, and/or processes, work efficiently with others to find solutions.

*** Ability to be honest, to be punctual, and to perform the job in adherence to the highest standards of ethical conduct as defined by the AMC Code of Conduct. Ability to be accurate in such matters as record-keeping, and to use good judgment when performing the functions of the job or when interacting with others. Ability to accept direction, carry out orders, to work cooperatively with others and to avoid the creation of unnecessary conflict.
