Duties Description
· Manage tracking of Tool Compliments.
* Perform daily spot checks on maintenance and equipment inventory, pull report and count stock items to verify against report.
* Data entry includes verifying correct account codes. Verify locations in TFP
* Take periodic physical inventory and maintain perpetual inventory records.
* Perform random audits of Inventory by taking periodic physical inventory and maintain perpetual inventory records.
* Print labels, when necessary, complete paperwork when issuing parts, stamp and file paperwork when completed.
* Restock shelves and keep shelves and stockroom clean, neat, and in proper order.
* Sorting and distribution of materials.
* Must operate a motor vehicle/forklift clean class D license.
* Assist and help train new Office Assistant 1 Stores/Mail staff.
* Act as a back-up to the other Inventory staff when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications 1. TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS FOR CURRENT STATE EMPLOYEES:
Current New York State employee with one year or more of qualifying permanent service allocated to a Grade 07 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the NYS Civil Service Law.
2. GENERAL PUBLIC AND/OR NY HELPS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
One year of experience where most work time is spent performing activities related to mail receipt, mail distribution, storage, and/or stores keeping. This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS). For the duration of the NY HELPS Program, this title may be filled via a non-competitive appointment, which means no examination is required but all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications of the title for which they apply.
At a future date, it is expected employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, without having to compete in an examination. Employees will then be afforded with all of the same rights and privileges of competitive class employees of New York State. While serving permanently in an NY HELPS title, employees may take part in any promotion examination for which they are qualified.

ADDITIONAL PAY INFORMATION:
The salary range for this position includes all applicable annual components of pay which are:
Base Pay: $19.48 - 28.25
Recruitment & Retention Pay: $3.37
