Position Summary
The Scheduling and Patient Services Lead serves as a vital administrative bridge within the Department of Pathology, providing high-level executive support for the Department Chair’s Office while supporting the Pathology Residency Coordinator. The role requires managing a broad range of administrative duties in a dynamic academic healthcare environment.

- Support routine operations of the department, including backup to administrative coordinators
- Assist the Department Chair as needed
- Sort mail and manage material distribution
- Make changes to the Pathologist Service Schedule
- Assist with reimbursement requests
- Support the Residency Coordinator with the academic program
- Participate in departmental meetings as required
- Communicate professionally and timely with all parties, including providers, patients, clinical care teams, and insurance companies
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct appropriately to team members
- Convey a professional image by adhering to the established dress code
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Preferred 2‑3 years office experience or one year related medical practice experience.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: High energy and professional demeanor; excellent customer service and analytical skills; strong time‑management and problem‑solving abilities; ability to review information and draw appropriate conclusions; good judgment.
