Position Details
Location - Reilly & Gelder OMS
Address - Rotation between Albany/Clifton Park/East Greenbush office locations
Full Time - Monday through Thursday 8am - 5pm, Friday 8am - 2pm
Salary - $18 - $24/hr
Requirements- High School Diploma/equivalent
- Dental and/or customer service experience (Preferred)

As a Patient Coordinator, you will be providing the practice with important administrative support such as:
- Serving as the primary non-clinical business interface with the patient, including: meeting and greeting patients on the phone and in person; scheduling patients; arranging and receiving patient payments; providing patient support, education, and counseling on practice and insurance procedures and requirements.
- Managing patient scheduling and staffing via dental management software: confirming patient scheduling, filling doctors’ and hygienists’ schedules, managing wait lists; using marketing/communication software to confirm appointments and perform other patient-relations functions; scheduling patients with specialists.
- Creating and maintaining patient records: inputting data to the dental management system such as medical histories, treatment plans, insurance information, patient photographs, x-rays, and other critical data; creating, updating, and maintaining patient paper charts with required forms and key information.
- Performing financial functions: receiving patient payments, developing and discussing payment plans, tallying cash and checks, charging patients in the dental management system, verifying insurance, mailing insurance claims and pre-estimates to insurance companies; making patient collection calls and interacting with insurance carriers as needed.
- Coordinating office maintenance and communications: executing office opening and closing protocols; ordering supplies; taking and transmitting phone messages to employees; working closely with providers and assistants to provide a safe, seamless, and pleasant patient experience.
