Service Technician - B Level Tech

DePaula Chevrolet is seeking hardworking service technicians to join our award‑winning team. The ideal candidate strives to become a master technician. We offer professional training for employees who want to grow and develop themselves. This candidate already has general knowledge of automotive repairs and familiarity with makes and models of various manufacturers. Our dealership is very busy so this position requires that you are comfortable in a fast‑paced setting.

• Disassembles and performs partial or complete overhaul of engines, transmissions, and differentials.
• Uses gauges, special tools, and specialized equipment to diagnose mechanical failure or problems.
• Installs and/or adjusts brakes, heaters and defrosters.
• Replaces worn or broken parts.
• Operates vehicles to diagnose problems and validate that repairs have been completed.
• Constructs, maintains or services shop equipment as necessary.
• Repairs equipment and machinery as necessary.

• Familiarity with automobiles and repairs.
• NYS Inspector's License.
• Must be computer literate.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and provide a DMV Driver's Abstract.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

• General knowledge of automobiles and automobile repairs.
• At least 1 year of experience to be considered.
• High School diploma or GED - ASE Certification preferred.
• NYS Inspectors License.
• Mathematical and reading skills.
• Ability to learn new technology.
• Ability to learn new service techniques and procedures.
