Sr. Business Analyst; CBAP Certification

Sr. Business Analyst – Albany, NY

Trigyn’s direct government client requires a senior business analyst to support technology projects and ensure alignment between business objectives and technical implementations.

• Provide guidance throughout the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Identify and scope the business problem, recommend and execute the best approach.
• Act as a liaison to stakeholders and subject‑matter experts to elicit, analyze, communicate, validate, and verify requirements for complex changes and new business processes.
• Convey software user demands to developers and ensure clear, articulated artifacts.
• Create as‑is and to‑be business process flows, ensuring alignment with agency needs.
• Conduct requirements workshops and Joint Application Sessions (JAD) with agency subject‑matter experts.
• Produce business requirements documents, context diagrams, BRDs, system specification documents, use cases, workflow diagrams, report and screen mockups, swim‑lane diagrams, and prototypes.
• Ensure artifacts satisfy ITS governance and Secure Systems Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) requirements.
• Manage requirements through the contract lifecycle using a requirements management plan and traceability, linking each requirement to its test cases.
• Lead defect testing, coordination, and remediation with the customer.

• Demonstrated ability to analyze an organization or business domain and document its processes or systems, including assessing the business model and its technology integration.
• Extensive industry experience and proven leadership ability across large teams.
• 84 months of experience with MS Access and SharePoint; documentation of mainframe terminal/emulator or console‑based applications; low‑code systems such as Dynamics 365, Salesforce, or Out Systems.
• 84 months of facilitating requirement workshops, JAD sessions, structured walkthroughs, impact analysis, and risk assessments.
• 60 months of creating test plans, test cases, and conducting User Acceptance Testing with users.
• 84 months of managing requirements throughout the Requirements Management Lifecycle, including creation and execution of a Requirements Management Plan, traceability, baselines, and change control.
• 60 months of documenting agency or company licensing systems.
• Advanced degree (MBA or MS in Business Analytics) and certification as a Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP).
