The Center for International Education and Global Strategy (CIEGS) supports global learning and engagement throughout the University at Albany and the world. Many of the internationalization initiatives across campus are sustained and expanded through international academic partnerships.
In collaboration with the Director of International Academic Partnerships and International Academic Advising, the International Academic Partnerships Coordinator supports the University's global engagement strategy by managing the operational, administrative, and communications functions of the institution's international academic partnership portfolio. This position is responsible for maintaining partnership databases and agreement records, coordinating partnership documentation and workflows, managing partnership-related web content, preparing reports and communications, and supporting the development, implementation, and stewardship of international collaborations.
Primary Responsibilities:- Partnership Database and Agreement Management
- Maintain and administer the University's international partnership databases and agreement management systems
- Upload, organize, and maintain executed partnership agreements and related documentation
- Monitor agreement renewal dates and assist with renewal workflows.
- Assist the Director with tracking partnership activities, including student enrollment, students and faculty mobility, research collaborations, virtual exchange, and other partnership outcomes
- Generate reports, dashboards, and data summaries to support institutional planning and decision-making
- Recommend improvements to partnership data collection and reporting processes
- Partnership Administration and Proposal Support
- Assist the Director in coordinating new partnership proposals from initial inquiry through execution.
- Prepare internal routing documents and approval materials.
- Monitor proposal tracking systems and workflow documentation.
- Assist with drafting correspondence and preparing presentation materials.
- Complete any required SUNY System documentation required for designated articulation agreements.
- Monitor progress of articulation agreements through institutional approval processes.
- Maintain organized records of articulation agreements and associated documentation.
- Website and Partnership Communications
- Maintain and regularly update the international partnerships website.
- Develop and revise partner profiles, agreement summaries, program descriptions, and partnership highlights.
- Coordinate updates regarding new partnerships, renewals, and partnership achievements.
- Draft, edit, and publish partnership success stories and other web content.
- Prepare and submit articles highlighting impactful international partnership activities, student success stories, faculty collaborations, research initiatives, and institutional achievements.
- Collaborate with University Communications and Marketing to promote significant international partnership initiatives.
- International Delegation and Visitor Support
- Coordinate logistical preparations for meetings with international delegations and foreign government officials.
- Complete institutional forms and documentation required for visits and meetings with by foreign officials.
- Assist with scheduling meetings and preparing itineraries.
- Coordinate meeting materials, briefing documents, and visitor packets.
- Assist in hosting international visitors, including campus tours, meetings, receptions, and partnership discussions.
- Serve as an ambassador for the University during international visits and events.
