The Contract Management Specialist 1
supports the New York Department of Health's Bureau of Contracts by performing procurement, contract review, compliance, and reporting tasks. Responsibilities include processing contracts for services and commodities, reviewing vendor documentation for compliance, monitoring minority and women-owned business enterprise requirements, and coordinating with community-based providers. The role is based in Albany and offers a full-time position with telecommuting allowed.
Key qualifications:- Six years of experience managing contracts and related budgets in areas such as negotiation, fiscal management, contract development, or contract execution
- Bachelor's degree may substitute for four years of experience; advanced degrees may substitute additional years
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Statewide Financial System, SharePoint, Teams, and Vend Rep System
- Knowledge of NYS procurement guidelines, OGS, MWBE and SDVOB programs, and State Finance Law
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to manage multiple competing priorities
