The Medicaid Integrity Specialist position is located in the Recovery Audit Contractor unit within the NYS Office of the Medicaid Inspector General's Bureau of Third-Party Payment Oversight in Albany. The role involves learning to use Medicaid databases and software to develop audits, analyze data, and make determinations on Medicaid audits, while collaborating with contractors and internal/external stakeholders. Responsibilities include managing audit cases, vetting provider data, tracking repayments, and responding to provider inquiries.
Keyqualifications:
- Four years of experience in Medicaid program integrity, OR Associate's degree and two years of experience, OR Bachelor's degree
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to analyze claims data
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work as part of a team
