Responsibilities
Reporting into the Project Manager, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high performing educational facilities by driving day to day project execution.
As a Project Engineer, you’ll help drive active projects by coordinating trades and design field teams from construction kickoff through final occupancy, participate in Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings, ensure contractor and consultant work meets Jacobs’ high standards for quality and safety, and support the team by helping to manage budgets, cost and change controls, and change order estimates.
In this role, you’ll contribute to both fast paced, quick turn projects and larger, long range capital initiatives, giving you the opportunity to evolve, grow, and succeed while making a meaningful impact for our education clients. Onsite employees are expected to attend a Jacobs Workplace on a full‑time basis.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Construction, Engineering or related disciplines
- 3+ years of experience working on construction or civil projects
- Knowledge of construction contract administration during the construction phase
- Knowledge of or experience with construction document controls software or applications
- Previous experience managing a Document Control effort
- Previous experience in a construction environment is highly desirable, with an understanding of the construction process and coordination of various entities in the industry
- Previous experience in processing and reviewing RFIs
- Ability to review construction contract document and drawings to establish base scope and analyze and track changes to project scope
- Previous experience working in K-12 construction projects

The base salary range for this position is $65,000.00 to $85,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
