Jacobs is seeking a Construction Estimator to join our team in Albany, Saratoga, Comstock, Dannemora, and Watertown, NY. The estimator will support project managers by developing and maintaining project cost controls, reviewing contractor estimates, preparing cost estimates for new and rehabilitation projects, analyzing drawings, and ensuring projects meet client standards and timelines.

• Review orders on contract for procedural compliance.
• Negotiate all contract orders for projects within the Division of Construction – Region 5.
• Estimate construction costs for new and rehabilitation projects.
• Act as liaison between contractors, field personnel, client, executive staff, and contract management.
• Assist with review of project claims when requested.
• Develop cost estimates for project teams.

• At least 6 years of cost estimating experience, including preparation and review of architectural, mechanical, electrical systems/components of building construction projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field with 2 years of estimating experience; or an associate’s degree with 4 years of experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with construction estimating software such as Means Cost Works, #EastPMCM, or #NorthPMCM.

Base salary range: $110,000 – $120,000. Individual pay is determined by location and experience.
