Construction Project Administrator

The Construction Project Administrator 2 supports the Division of Military and Naval Affairs' Facilities Management and Engineering Directorate by planning, scheduling, and monitoring building construction, repair, and rehabilitation projects from inception through completion. The role requires coordination with architects, engineers, contractors, and state/federal personnel to ensure projects meet cost, schedule, and specification requirements while complying with National Guard Bureau standards. The position manages projects ranging from facility repairs to large-scale new construction and serves as the primary liaison for assigned projects.

• Two years of college study in engineering, engineering technology, or construction-related field (with Associate's degree preferred) plus five years building construction experience including two year
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software
• Strong ability to read, interpret, and explain technical construction documents, contracts, and design plans
• Experience with project scheduling, budget development, and capital construction planning
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills with ability to manage multiple priorities independently and supervise subordinates
• Valid New York State driver's license and ability to travel regularly using various modes of transportation
