The Project Manager manages all aspects of construction projects for the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY), serving as the primary liaison to client agencies. The role oversees design and construction consultants, monitors project budgets and schedules, coordinates bid processes, and ensures compliance with DASNY procedures through project closeout. The position is based in Albany with responsibility for the Upstate Region and requires frequent construction site visits and travel.
Keyqualifications
- Bachelor's degree plus 5 years relevant construction industry experience and 2 years supervisory experience
- Ability to read and comprehend construction plans, specifications, contracts and related documents
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills
- Proficiency in PC applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated management, analytical, and organizational skills with ability to prioritize and exercise sound judgment
- Preferred: NYS Professional Engineer or Architect license; experience with Oracle Contract Manager, PMWeb, and P6 scheduling
