Position: Multimedia Production Technician - VID 224046
Location: City of Albany

The Multimedia Production Technician serves as a Technical Operations Specialist with the Broadcast Technology team at the Digital and Media Services Center in Albany. The role combines live production support with systems engineering, requiring monitoring of transmission health, content ingestion, quality control, and technical troubleshooting across broadcast infrastructure. The position operates studio equipment, manages audio mixing, and provides dedicated support during live events, with flexibility for weekend and evening shifts.

Key

qualifications:

Four years of experience as a news videographer, studio camera operator, video editor, or similar position at a network, television affiliate, or commercial media production facility
Experience with satellite transmit/receive equipment, digital audio workflows, and IP transmission infrastructure
Knowledge of streaming encoders, routing hardware, and Adobe audio/video editing software
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to monitor signal integrity and transmission health
Ability to multitask and work in dynamic broadcast environments with scheduling flexibility
