Multimedia Production Representative - Albany

The Communications Division of the New York Department of Labor seeks a Multimedia Production Representative 2 to serve as a working supervisor and hands‑on videographer in Albany. The role involves leading high‑profile video production projects from concept to delivery, managing field and live event productions, and mentoring a small team of visual professionals. The ideal candidate will balance advanced production work—including shooting, editing, drone operation, and audio engineering—with coaching and developing team members’ technical and creative skills.

• Seven years of experience in media production, broadcast engineering, newsroom technology, or related fields (with potential substitution of relevant college study)
• Demonstrated experience mentoring junior videographers and providing creative direction and performance feedback
• Experience managing high‑volume creative workflows using project management tools and meeting tight deadlines
• Proven ability to collaborate with and manage expectations of diverse internal stakeholders including executive leadership
• Experience with government agencies, public sector organizations, non‑profits, or fast‑paced creative agencies preferred
• Valid drone certification or ability to obtain NYS Department of Labor drone operation certification
